Extra Activity

Section: Introduce the doctrine
OPENING ACTIVITY

Prepare a diploma for each girl in advance, leaving out the type of degree.? Then, in class, ask the girls to tell you what they would like to be when they grow up.? According to their answers, fill in their diploma with DOCTOR OF – whatever they said.? After they have all answered the question and you have filled out their degree, present each girl with her diploma, like at a graduation.

Ask the girls if they could now go out and start their careers, since they have a diploma.? Ask what is required for a real diploma. Ask if there are sacrifices, hard work and overcoming obstacles involved.

Just as a diploma with no schooling is meaningless, the school of life is designed to prepare us to become like our heavenly parents, and that will take sacrifice, hard work and overcoming obstacles.? We might call our obstacles adversity or trials.
